Apps, like many other products, brands and companies in the world, too require a logo to stand as its face. When it comes to Logo design, there are no limits. The spectrum is so broad that literally anything is possible. But that doesn’t mean that anything is passable. Of course, some logo’s work far better than others, capturing eyes and communicating messages to the audience. It is imperative that the designer understand the fundamental implications that creating a logo can have for a product, company, or brand. And should thus, ensure that they conduct legible user testing to ensure that their logos are communicating the right message.
For example, these logos were tested for an app prototype names ‘World, Weather, Watch’ (A world time and world weather forecasting app for the modern traveller). Below are the results of it’s user testing.
